How do I add a nonprofit to the Grapevine database?

To request a new nonprofit, please complete this form.

Next steps depend on where the nonprofit is based:

  • If the nonprofit is based in the United States:
The organization will need to complete our vetting application and submit the required documentation. Our team typically reviews complete applications within 2–3 business days, unless additional information is needed. Please note that during the first week of each month, our vetting process is paused to focus on grant disbursements. Once approved, the nonprofit will automatically appear in our directory.
  • If the nonprofit is based outside of the United States:
Grapevine partners with GlobalGiving to support international nonprofits. GlobalGiving carefully vets each organization before onboarding them into their community — verifying legal and financial documents, evaluating current and historic program materials, and ensuring compliance with international guidelines. The vetting process typically takes one to two months. The cost of vetting and onboarding new nonprofit partners outside the United States is currently sponsored by a grant from the Giving Platform Collaborative.

Important Note on Visibility and Funding

It's important to clarify that being listed in our directory means a nonprofit may appear in search results for our leaders and members who are seeking organizations for grant nominations. A nonprofit's inclusion provides an opportunity for our community to discover their work when Giving Circle members are looking to nominate organizations for potential funding.

However, inclusion in our directory does not guarantee immediate funds or active promotion. Our platform serves as a resource where members can independently find and select nonprofits for grant nominations. The allocation of funds is dependent on our members' decisions and their grant-making timelines.
