How do I create or manage events for my Giving Circle?

As a leader, you can create events using the “Create an event” feature on your Giving Circle’s page. Events can be virtual, in-person, or hybrid. Once published, members will be able to see the event, RSVP, add it to their calendar, and stay updated on details. Leaders will be able to download RSVPs.

Need to edit or cancel an event? Since event details are communicated through a post, there isn't a direct "cancel" button. Instead, you can manage the event's status by:

  • Editing the original event post: Update the details within the post itself to clearly indicate any changes, including cancellation. It's a good practice to explicitly state "CANCELLED" in the title or at the very top of the post for immediate visibility.
  • Creating a new general information post: To ensure all members subscribed to group notifications are alerted, you can create a new, separate post specifically announcing the update or cancellation and linking back to the original event post.
  • Sending a bulk message: For urgent or critical updates like cancellations, sending a bulk message to your members is an effective way to directly notify everyone.
